Outer meaning

Those masters who establish for us the luminous world (svàr) with cows, horses, riches, and gold—may those seers endure for the whole life and prevail in battles with their charging heroes.

Inner meaning

The ‘masters’ (īśānāsaḥ) are the inner rulers—divine powers or realized faculties—that can ‘set’ svàr: the higher luminous consciousness. They do it through the rays of knowledge (go), swift energies of action (aśva), stable riches of substance/values (vasu), and the golden essence (hiraṇya: purified vital-mental substance). The prayer is that such sūrayaḥ (illumined ones) may hold this attainment through the whole span of life and win the inner battles (pṛtanāsu) with their charging forces—purified impulses that press forward without collapse.

Universal truth

Real illumination must be stabilized in life: knowledge, energy, resources, and refined value-substance must cooperate, and then the long work is endurance and repeated victory over inner resistance.

Themes

Svarga/Svar attainment, Inner victory, Longevity, Wealth as light-substance, Heroic powers

Family tradition

Vasiṣṭha’s clan emphasizes the sovereignty of ṛta: mastery is not domination but right rule of the being by truth and harmony.

Significance

Here Vasiṣṭha links ‘svàr’ to concrete inner means (go/aśva/vasu/hiraṇya): illumination is made effective in life-nature, not kept as mere idea.
