For wealth/expansion, Heaven and Earth have given birth to this divine power; for the same, the goddess Dhīṣaṇā establishes the god. Then Vāyu’s own yoked teams join him, and the white foundation of abundance shines forth, released in its wide expanse.
Rodasī (Heaven-Earth) are the two poles of consciousness—higher mind and embodied nature—whose union generates the divine power (deva) in the human. Dhīṣaṇā is inspired intelligence/discrimination that ‘establishes’ the god within: it fixes the descent so it becomes stable realization, not a passing experience. When this is done, Vāyu’s niyuts—disciplined life-energies—attach themselves naturally to the awakened power, serving it. The ‘śveta vasudhiti’ is the luminous, pure base of plenty: a clarified foundation in the being where abundance is not possession but wideness, a freed expanse (nireke) of consciousness.
True prosperity is the birth and stabilization of the divine in life: when higher and lower are harmonized and guided by discernment, the life-force spontaneously organizes around the inner truth, and a luminous sufficiency appears.
Invocation, Inner sacrifice (psychological yajña), Deity-installation, Vital purification, Plenitude/wealth (rāyí)
The Vasiṣṭha vision frequently uses the dyad Heaven–Earth to describe integrality: realization must be born from above and supported below.
Shows the integral process: descent (birth) + fixation (dhīṣaṇā establishes) + prāṇic organization (niyuts) + luminous base (śveta vasudhiti).
Indra as illuminator and Vāyu as mover cooperate in soma ascent; Heaven–Earth generate the field for manifestation; Dhīṣaṇā fixes the divine formation.
Illumined mind (Indra) stabilized by discernment (Dhīṣaṇā) and powered by disciplined prāṇa (Vāyu’s niyuts).
Soma rite praise describing the birth/establishment of the invoked power; supportive verse in Indra–Vāyu context

4 pādas of ~11 syllables
Balanced, architectonic; good for statements of origin and establishment.
Gives a sense of ‘setting’ and ‘foundation’; listeners feel steadiness and wideness opening.
Soma-yajña context: invitatory/praise for Indra–Vāyu as Soma-drinkers arriving with niyuts; applicable in Soma pressing sequences (e.g., Agniṣṭoma-related stotras/śastras)
During soma offerings when invoking cooperative powers and affirming increase (rāyas)
Recitation accompanying offering and contemplative affirmation of inner establishment
Use for ‘integration practice’: align above/below, then yoke breath, then rest in luminous sufficiency.
Key roots: √jan (jajñatuḥ, perf. dual) ‘beget, generate’—mythically the cosmic pair generates the divine function in the human field. √dhā (dhāti) ‘set, establish’—Dhīṣaṇā as the power that ‘places’ the god in the seat of consciousness. √sac (saścata) ‘follow, cleave to, accompany’—the niyútas as yoked life-energies that adhere to Vāyu. rāyí ‘wealth’ from semantic field of ‘possession, plenitude’—taken inwardly as fullness of being. śvetá ‘white/bright’ marks purification and clarified light. vasu-dhíti is a tatpuruṣa: vasu ‘good, wealth, luminous substance’ + dhíti ‘placing/holding’ (from √dhā/√dhī), hence ‘support of plenitude’. nireká (loc. nireké) from ni-√ric/related ‘to separate, leave free/empty’ → ‘open expanse, unobstructed release’ (contextually: cleared inner space).
Rayi as plenitude of being, installation of the deity in consciousness (√dhā), harmonized vital energies (niyut) under a higher power
Integration of poles and disciplined energies is ṛta in action—right arrangement of the being.
Dhīṣaṇā establishes what is true; the white foundation indicates truth-clarity.
Microcosmic creation: the god is ‘born’ in the human field by union of above and below.
Integral Vedāntic-yogic: manifestation as descent and organization of consciousness.
Heaven–Earth = mind-body integration; wind = regulated prāṇa; white base = purified stable consciousness.
Establish the divine center: feel the vertical axis (heaven–earth) align; let dhī (discernment) fix the experience; then yoke breath to serve it.
sahasrāra–mūlādhāra axis; stabilization in anāhata/ājñā
4-4-6 breathing (inhale-hold-exhale) to ‘establish’; then gentle ujjāyī to yoke prāṇa
Integrated wideness with a bright base; quiet power ready for action
Visualize a white foundation spreading in the chest/solar plexus; on each exhale, release obstruction into ‘nireke’ (free expanse).
RV accentuation; emphasize ‘rāye’ at openings; keep a gentle lift on ‘vāyum’.
Maintain clear caesura after key clauses: ‘rāye…’ / ‘rāye…’; let ‘adha’ mark the turn into consequence.
rodasī: clear retroflex ḍ? (here dental d in translit; pronounce ‘ro-da-sī’), dhiṣaṇā: retroflex ṣ; keep ṇ in -ṇā, saścata: keep ś + c cluster crisp, vasudhitiṃ: articulate -dhitiṃ distinctly
Steady, स्थापक (establishing) tone; resonant mid-voice.
