Sukta 7.42
इमं नो अग्ने अध्वरं जुषस्व मरुत्स्विन्द्रे यशसं कृधी नः । आ नक्ता बर्हिः सदतामुषासोशन्ता मित्रावरुणा यजेह ॥
imáṃ no agne adhvaráṃ juṣasva marútsv índre yaśásaṃ kṛdhī naḥ | ā́ naktā́ barhíḥ sadatām uṣā́sóśántā mitrā́varuṇā yajehá ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഈ അഖണ്ഡ അധ്വര (യജ്ഞം) സ്വീകരിക്കണമേ; മരുതന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ, ഇന്ദ്രനോടൊപ്പം, ഇതിനെ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് യശസ്സുള്ളതാക്കുക. രാത്രിയും ഉഷസ്സും പവിത്ര ബർഹിഷിൽ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; ഇവിടെ ഋതം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന മിത്ര-വരുണന്മാരെ യജിക്കു.
