Sukta 7.40
मात्र पूषन्नाघृण इरस्यो वरूत्री यद्रातिषाचश्च रासन् । मयोभुवो नो अर्वन्तो नि पान्तु वृष्टिं परिज्मा वातो ददातु ॥
mā́tra pūṣann āghṛṇe irasyó varūtrī yád rātiṣā́caś ca rāsán | mayobhúvo no árvanto ní pāntu vṛṣṭíṃ parijmā́ vā́to dadātu ||
ഹേ പൂഷൻ, ഹേ പ്രകാശമാനനായ (ആഘൃണ), ഇവിടെ ഞങ്ങളെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തരുതേ; രക്ഷാകരമായ ശക്തികളും ദാനത്തെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവർ (രാതിഷാച) ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ദാനം നൽകട്ടെ. ആനന്ദം പകരുന്ന ഞങ്ങളുടെ അശ്വങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉറച്ചുപോലെ കാക്കട്ടെ; സർവ്വത്ര ചുറ്റിപ്പായുന്ന വായു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കട്ടെ—തണുപ്പും പുതുമയും നിറഞ്ഞ ശക്തിയുടെ പ്രവാഹമായി.
