Sukta 7.40
सेदुग्रो अस्तु मरुतः स शुष्मी यं मर्त्यं पृषदश्वा अवाथ । उतेमग्निः सरस्वती जुनन्ति न तस्य रायः पर्येतास्ति ॥
séd ugró astu marutaḥ sá śuṣmī yáṃ martyáṃ pṛṣadaśvā avātha | utém agníḥ sárasvatī junánti ná tásya rāyáḥ paryetā́sti ||
ഹേ മരുതുകളേ, അവൻ തീർച്ചയായും ഭയങ്കരനാകുന്നു, ശക്തിയിൽ നിറഞ്ഞവനാകുന്നു—നിങ്ങൾ പൃഷദശ്വ (ചിതറുനിറമുള്ള കുതിരകളുള്ള) ദൈവശക്തികൾ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ആ മർത്ത്യൻ. അഗ്നിയും സരസ്വതിയും അവനെ മുന്നോട്ട് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; കാരണം അവന്റെ റായഃ (സമ്പത്ത്/പോഷണം) ചുറ്റിവരയ്ക്കാവുന്ന അതിരില്ല.
