Sukta 7.21
देवाश्चित्ते असुर्याय पूर्वेऽनु क्षत्राय ममिरे सहांसि । इन्द्रो मघानि दयते विषह्येन्द्रं वाजस्य जोहुवन्त सातौ ॥
devāś cit te asuryā́ya pū́rve ’nu kṣatrā́ya mamire sahā́ṃsi | índro maghā́ni dayate viṣáhya índraṃ vā́jasya johuvanta sātáu ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ! നിന്റെ അസുര്യ (പ്രഭുത്വമയ) ശക്തിക്കായി പുരാതന ദേവന്മാരും നിന്റെ ക്ഷത്ര (രാജാധികാരം) അനുസരിച്ച് ബലങ്ങളെ അളന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ചു. ഇന്ദ്രൻ ജയിക്കാനൊട്ടും എളുപ്പമല്ലാത്ത ദാനങ്ങൾ (മഘ) നൽകുന്നു; വിജയം നേടുന്ന യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ബലത്തിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണത (വാജ)ക്കായി അവർ ഇന്ദ്രനെ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും വിളിക്കുന്നു.
