Sukta 7.2
जुषस्व नः समिधमग्ने अद्य शोचा बृहद्यजतं धूममृण्वन् । उप स्पृश दिव्यं सानु स्तूपैः सं रश्मिभिस्ततनः सूर्यस्य ॥
juṣásva naḥ samídham agne adyá śócā bṛhád yájatam dhūmám ṛṇván | úpa spṛśa divyáṃ sā́nu stū́paiḥ sáṃ raśmíbhis tatanaḥ sū́ryasya ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, ഇന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സമിധയെ സ്വീകരിക്കണമേ; നീ മഹത്തായി, യജ്ഞാർഹമായിത്തന്നെ ജ്വലിക്ക, പുക ഉയർത്തിക്കൊണ്ട്. നിന്റെ ജ്വാലാജിഹ്വകളാൽ ദിവ്യശിഖരം സ്പർശിക്ക; സൂര്യന്റെ രശ്മികളോടൊത്ത് നീ സ്വയം എല്ലാടവും വ്യാപിപ്പിക്ക.
