Sukta 7.18
आवदिन्द्रं यमुना तृत्सवश्च प्रात्र भेदं सर्वताता मुषायत् । अजासश्च शिग्रवो यक्षवश्च बलिं शीर्षाणि जभ्रुरश्व्यानि ॥
ā́vad índraṁ yamúnā tṛ́tsavaś ca prā́tra bhedáṁ sarvátātā muṣāyat | ajā́saś ca śígravo yákṣavaś ca balíṁ śīrṣā́ṇi jabhrur áśvyāni ||
യമുനയും പരിശ്രമശീലികളായ തൃത്സുക്കളും ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ സഹായം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഇവിടെ സർവതാതാ ശത്രുവിൽ നിന്ന് ഭേദനം (വിഭജനത്തിന്റെ ഉപാധി) കവർന്നു. അജാസരും ശിഗ്രുക്കളും യക്ഷുക്കളും ബലി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു—തലകളും വേഗമുള്ള അശ്വശക്തികളും—വിജയിയായ ഋതക്രമത്തിന് അവരുടെ ജീവബലം സമർപ്പിച്ചു.
