Sukta 7.1
मा नो अग्ने दुर्भृतये सचैषु देवेद्धेष्वग्निषु प्र वोचः । मा ते अस्मान्दुर्मतयो भृमाच्चिद्देवस्य सूनो सहसो नशन्त ॥
mā no agne durbhṛtáye sácaiṣú devéddheṣv agníṣu prá vocaḥ | mā te asmā́n durmátayo bhṛmā́c cid devásya sūno sahaso náśanta ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, യാഗത്തിന്റെ ദുർഭരണം—അയോഗ്യമായ വഹനം—അതിനോടു ഞങ്ങളെ ചേർക്കരുതേ; ദേവർക്കായി ജ്വലിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ അഗ്നികളിൽ ഞങ്ങളെ ദോഷികളെന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കരുതേ. ദുർമതികൾ ഞങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ—അലയുന്ന പിഴവുകൊണ്ടുപോലും അല്ല; ഹേ ദേവപുത്രാ, ഹേ സഹസിന്റെ പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.
