Sukta 6.44
अध्वर्यो वीर प्र महे सुतानामिन्द्राय भर स ह्यस्य राजा । यः पूर्व्याभिरुत नूतनाभिर्गीर्भिर्वावृधे गृणतामृषीणाम् ॥
ádhvaryo vīra prá mahé sutā́nām índrāya bhara sá hy asyá rājā́ | yáḥ pūrvyā́bhir utá nū́tanābhir gī́rbhir vāvṛdhé gṛṇatā́m ṛ́ṣīṇām ||
ഹേ അധ്വര്യു, ഹേ വീരാ, ഇന്ദ്രനുവേണ്ടി മഹത്തായ സുതസോമം മുന്നോട്ടു കൊണ്ടുവരിക; കാരണം അവൻ ഈ യാഗത്തിന്റെ രാജാവാണ്. പുരാതനവും നിത്യനൂതനവും ആയ ഗീരുകളാൽ—സ്തുതിക്കുന്ന ഋഷിമാരുടെ വചനങ്ങളാൽ—വളരുന്നവൻ അവൻ തന്നേ.
