इन्द्र तुभ्यमिन्मघवन्नभूम वयं दात्रे हरिवो मा वि वेनः । नकिरापिर्ददृशे मर्त्यत्रा किमङ्ग रध्रचोदनं त्वाहुः ॥
índra túbhyam ín maghavann abhūma vayáṃ dātré harivo mā́ ví vénaḥ | nákir ā́pir dadṛśe mártyatrā́ kím aṅgá radhrá-codanaṃ tvā́huḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഹേ മഘവൻ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കേ മാത്രം ദാത്രേ—ദാതാവിന്—അർപ്പണകർതാക്കളായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹേ ഹരിവഃ (ഹരിത അശ്വങ്ങളുടെ അധിപൻ), ഞങ്ങളെ അകറ്റരുതേ. മർത്ത്യലോകത്തിൽ നിന്റെ യാതൊരു പരിധിയും അതിരും കാണപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; എങ്കിൽ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അവർ നിന്നെ ‘രധ്രചോദന’—മുടന്തനെ നീക്കുന്നവൻ—എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു?
