Sukta 6.27
किमस्य मदे किम्वस्य पीताविन्द्रः किमस्य सख्ये चकार । रणा वा ये निषदि किं ते अस्य पुरा विविद्रे किमु नूतनासः ॥
kím asya máde kímv asya pītā́v índraḥ kím asya sakhyé cakāra | raṇā́ vā yé niṣádi kím te asya purā́ vívidre kím u nū́tanāsaḥ ||
അവന്റെ മദ (ഉല്ലാസം) എന്ത് രഹസ്യം? അവന്റെ പീത (സോമപാനം) എന്ത്? സഖ്യതയാൽ ഇന്ദ്രൻ എന്ത് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു? യുദ്ധത്തിൽ സമീപം ഇരിക്കുന്നവർ (നിഷദി) അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് പുരാതനകാലം മുതൽ എന്ത് അറിഞ്ഞു—പുതിയ അന്വേഷകർ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്ത് കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു?
