उदावता त्वक्षसा पन्यसा च वृत्रहत्याय रथमिन्द्र तिष्ठ । धिष्व वज्रं हस्त आ दक्षिणत्राभि प्र मन्द पुरुदत्र मायाः ॥

Transliteration

udā́vatā tvákṣasā pányasā ca vṛtra-hátyāya rátham indra tiṣṭha | dhiṣvá vájraṃ hásta ā́ dakṣiṇa-trā́bhi prá mánda puru-datra māyā́ḥ ||

Translation

ഉയർത്തുന്ന പ്രചോദനത്തോടും, ദീപ്തവും പ്രശംസനീയവുമായ തേജസ്സോടും കൂടി, ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, വൃത്രവധത്തിനായി രഥത്തിൽ आरोഹിക്ക. വലങ്കയ്യിൽ വജ്രം ധരിക്ക; ഹേ പുരുദാത്രാ, നിന്റെ മായകൾ—കൗശലസമ്പന്നമായ ബോധശക്തികൾ—കൊണ്ട് ആനന്ദിച്ച് മുന്നോട്ട് പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്ക.
