त्वामग्ने पुष्करादध्यथर्वा निरमन्थत । मूर्ध्नो विश्वस्य वाघतः ॥
Transliteration
tvā́m agne púṣkarād ádhy átharvā nír amanthata | mūrdhnó víśvasya vā́ghataḥ ||
Translation
ഹേ അഗ്നേ! അഥർവൻ നിന്നെ പുഷ്കര-സരോവരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മഥിച്ച് പുറത്തെടുത്തു—വിശ്വത്തിന്റെ വാഘത (യജമാനൻ/സ്തോതാവ്)ന്റെ ശിരോശിഖരത്തിൽ നിന്ന്. ഇങ്ങനെ ചേതനയുടെ ശിഖരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ജ്വാല ജനിച്ച് ആഹുതിയെ നയിക്കുന്നു.
