ता हि श्रेष्ठवर्चसा राजाना दीर्घश्रुत्तमा । ता सत्पती ऋतावृध ऋतावाना जनेजने ॥
Transliteration
tā hí śréṣṭha-varcasā rājānā dīrghaśrút-tamā | tā satpátī ṛtā-vṛ́dhā ṛtá-vānā jáne-jane ||
Translation
അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും അത്യുത്തമ ദീപ്തിയുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാർ, ദൂരവ്യാപിയായ ശ്രവണശക്തിയുള്ളവർ; അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും സത്യത്തിന്റെ അധിപതികൾ, ഋതത്തെ വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവർ, ജനജനത്തിലും ഓരോ ജീവിയിലും ഋതം ധരിക്കുന്നവർ.
