आ ते अग्न इधीमहि द्युमन्तं देवाजरम् । यद्ध स्या ते पनीयसी समिद्दीदयति द्यवीषं स्तोतृभ्य आ भर ॥
Transliteration
ā́ te agna idhīmahi dyumántaṃ deva ajáram | yád dha syā́ te panī́yasī samídd dī́dayati dyávi íṣaṃ stotṛ́bhya ā́ bhara ||
Translation
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിനക്കായി ഞങ്ങൾ ദ്യുമന്തനായ, ദേവസ്വരൂപനായ, അജരനായ അഗ്നിയെ പ്രജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. നിന്റെ അത്യന്തം വാഞ്ഛനീയമായ സമിധ് ജ്വലിക്കുമ്പോൾ അത് ദ്യാവിൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു—അതിനാൽ സ്തോതാക്കൾക്കായി ഇഷ് (വൃദ്ധിയുടെ പ്രേരണം) കൊണ്ടുവരിക.
