प्रति मे स्तोममदितिर्जगृभ्यात्सूनुं न माता हृद्यं सुशेवम् । ब्रह्म प्रियं देवहितं यदस्त्यहं मित्रे वरुणे यन्मयोभु ॥
práti me stómaṃ áditiḥ jagṛbhyāt sūnúṃ na mātā hṛ́dyaṃ suśévam | bráhma priyáṃ deváhitaṃ yád asty aháṃ mitré váruṇe yán mayobhú ||
അദിതി എന്റെ സ്തോത്രം സ്വീകരിക്കട്ടെ—ഒരു അമ്മ തന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രനെ ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഹൃദയപ്രിയനും സുസംരക്ഷണമുള്ളവനുമായവനെ പോലെ. ദേവന്മാർ സ്ഥാപിച്ച, എന്നിൽ ഉള്ള പ്രിയ ബ്രഹ്മം (പവിത്ര വാക്ക്) എന്തുണ്ടോ, അത് ഞാൻ മിത്ര-വരുണന്മാർക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു—മയോഭു, ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെ കർത്താക്കൾക്ക്.
