त्वामिद्वृत्रहन्तम जनासो वृक्तबर्हिषः । उग्रं पूर्वीषु पूर्व्यं हवन्ते वाजसातये ॥
Transliteration
tvām íd vṛtrahántamam janā́so vṛktábarhiṣaḥ | ugráṁ pūrvī́ṣu pū́rvyaṁ hávante vājásātaye ||
Translation
വൃത്രഹന്തം—വൃത്രനെ സംഹരിക്കുന്നവനേ—നിന്നെയേ, വൃക്തബർഹിഷഃ (വിരിച്ച ബർഹിസ് ഉള്ള) ജനങ്ങൾ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. പൂർവീഷു പൂർവ്യം—പുരാതന്മാരിലും പുരാതനൻ—നിന്റെ ഉഗ്രശക്തിയെ അവർ വാജസാതയേ, ജയബലത്തിന്റെ സമൃദ്ധി (വാജ) നേടുവാൻ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
