समिद्धो अग्न आहुत देवान्यक्षि स्वध्वर । त्वं हि हव्यवाळसि ॥
Transliteration
sámiddho agna ā́huta devā́ny ákṣi svadhvara | tváṃ hí havya-vā́ḷ asi ||
Translation
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നീ സമിദ്ധനായി ആഹുതി സ്വീകരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, സുസംവിധിതമായ യജ്ഞമാർഗത്തിൽ ദേവന്മാരെ യജിക്ക; കാരണം നീ തന്നെയാണ് ഹവ്യവാഹകൻ—ദൈവശക്തികളിലേക്കു ഹവിയെ എത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ.
