Transliteration
agním īḷényam kavíṃ ghṛtá-pṛṣṭhaṃ saparyata | vétu me śṛṇávad dhávam ||
Translation
സ്തുത്യനും പ്രിയനും ആയ കവിയായ അഗ്നിയെ, ഘൃതംകൊണ്ട് ദീപ്തമായ പൃഷ്ഠമുള്ളവനെ, സേവിച്ചു ആരാധിക്കുവിൻ. അവൻ എനിക്ക് സമീപം വരട്ടെ; എന്റെ ഹവ്യ-ആഹ്വാനം കേൾക്കട്ടെ.
