Sukta 4.23
कथा महामवृधत्कस्य होतुर्यज्ञं जुषाणो अभि सोममूधः । पिबन्नुशानो जुषमाणो अन्धो ववक्ष ऋष्वः शुचते धनाय ॥
kathā́ mahā́m avṛdhat kásya hótur yajñáṃ juṣāṇó abhí sómam ū́dhaḥ | píban nuśānó juṣámāṇo ándho vavakṣé ṛṣváḥ śúcate dhánāya ||
അവൻ എങ്ങനെ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്ക് വളർന്നു? ഏതു ഹോതൃ (ആഹ്വാനകൻ) വേണ്ടി, യജ്ഞം അംഗീകരിച്ച്, അവൻ ഉദ്ധരംപോലെ സോമത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു? കുടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്, പിഷിത ആനന്ദ-രസം (അന്ധഃ) ആസ്വദിച്ച്, ഉന്നതൻ (ഋഷ്വ) ദീപ്തമായ ധനത്തിനായി വർദ്ധിച്ചു.
