Sukta 4.17
समिन्द्रो गा अजयत्सं हिरण्या समश्विया मघवा यो ह पूर्वीः । एभिर्नृभिर्नृतमो अस्य शाकै रायो विभक्ता सम्भरश्च वस्वः ॥
sám índro gā́ ajayat sáṃ híraṇyā sáṃ aśviyā́ maghávā yó ha pūrvī́ḥ | ébhir nṛ́bhir nṛ́tamo asya śākái rāyó vibhaktā́ sambháraś ca vásvaḥ ||
ഇന്ദ്രൻ ഒരുമിച്ച് ഗാഃ (കിരണങ്ങൾ/ഗോവുകൾ) ജയിച്ചു, ഒരുമിച്ച് ഹിരണ്യ (സ്വർണം)യുടെ പൂർണ്ണത, ഒരുമിച്ച് അശ്വീയാ (അശ്വ-ശക്തികൾ)—പുരാതനകാലം മുതൽ ദാനശീലനായ മഘവൻ. ഈ നരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം, തന്റെ ശക്തികളാൽ ഏറ്റവും നരനായവൻ, അവൻ റായഃ (സമ്പത്ത്) വിഭജിക്കുന്നവനും വസുഃ (സത്യ-ധനം/അസ്തിത്വധനം) സമ്പാദിച്ചു കൂട്ടുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു.
