Sukta 4.16
अपो यदद्रिं पुरुहूत दर्दराविर्भुवत्सरमा पूर्व्यं ते । स नो नेता वाजमा दर्षि भूरिं गोत्रा रुजन्नङ्गिरोभिर्गृणानः ॥
apó yád ádrim puru-hūta dárdaḥ āvír bhuvat sáramā pū́rvyam té | sá no netā́ vā́jam ā́ darṣi bhū́riṃ gotrā́ rújann áṅgirobhir gṛṇānáḥ ||
ഹേ പുരുഹൂത, ജലങ്ങളെ തടഞ്ഞിരുന്ന അദ്രി (ശില) നീ ഭേദിച്ചപ്പോൾ, നിന്റെ പൂർവികയായ സരമാ—അന്തര്ദൃഷ്ടി—പ്രകടമായി. ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതാവാകേണമേ; ബലത്തിന്റെ മഹത്തായ സമൃദ്ധി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകേണമേ; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അങ്കിരസശക്തികളോടുകൂടെ, മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഗോത്രങ്ങളെ (പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ കാളിവളപ്പുകൾ) പൊളിച്ച് തുറക്കേണമേ.
