आभिष्टे अद्य गीर्भिर्गृणन्तोऽग्ने दाशेम । प्र ते दिवो न स्तनयन्ति शुष्माः ॥
ābhiṣ te adyá gīrbhír gṛṇánto’gne dāśema | prá te divó ná stanayanti śúṣmāḥ ||
ഇന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ ഗീർഭിഃ—സ്തുതിവചനങ്ങളാൽ—ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിന്നെ ഗൃണന്തഃ (പുകഴ്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ട്) ദാശേമ: ഞങ്ങളെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പാദ്യങ്ങളെയും നിനക്കു സമർപ്പിക്കട്ടെ. നിന്റെ ശുഷ്മാഃ—പരാക്രമശക്തികൾ—ദിവഃയിലെ സ്തനയന്തി (ആകാശഗർജ്ജനം) പോലെ പുറപ്പെടട്ടെ; തമസ്സിന്റെ ജഡതയെ തുരത്തി ജാഗ്രതയെ ഉണർത്തട്ടെ.
