Sukta 3.61
ऋतस्य बुध्न उषसामिषण्यन्वृषा मही रोदसी आ विवेश । मही मित्रस्य वरुणस्य माया चन्द्रेव भानुं वि दधे पुरुत्रा ॥
ṛtásya budhná uṣásām iṣaṇyán vṛ́ṣā mahī́ ródasī ā́ viveśa | mahī́ mitrásya váruṇasya māyā́ candréva bhānúṃ ví dadhē purutrā́ ||
ഋതത്തിന്റെ ബുധ്നം (അടിത്തറ) മുതൽ, ഉഷസ്സുകളെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, മഹാവൃഷാ (ശക്തനായ വൃഷഭൻ) വിശാലമായ റോദസീ (ദിവ്-പൃഥ്വി)യിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു. മഹത്തായതാണ് മിത്ര-വരുണരുടെ മായാ (രചനാശക്തി): ചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെ അത് പ്രകാശത്തെ പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, കിരണത്തെ എല്ലാടവും വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
