या ते अग्ने पर्वतस्येव धारासश्चन्ती पीपयद्देव चित्रा । तामस्मभ्यं प्रमतिं जातवेदो वसो रास्व सुमतिं विश्वजन्याम् ॥
yā́ te agne párvatasyeva dhā́rā́ asaścántī pī́payad deva citrā́ | tā́m asmábhyaṃ prámatim jātavedo vaso rā́sva sumatíṃ viśvájanyām ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിന്റെ ആ ധാര പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ പ്രചണ്ഡ പ്രവാഹംപോലെ അക്ഷീണമായി ഒഴുകുന്നു—വൈവിധ്യങ്ങളാൽ ചിത്രമയമായി, സർവ്വരെയും പുഷ്ടിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതായി. ആ വ്യക്തമായ പ്രമതി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ദയചെയ്യുക, ഹേ ജാതവേദസ്, ഹേ വസു; സർവ്വജനത്തിനും ഹിതകരമായ സുമതി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകുക.
