Sukta 3.55
नाना चक्राते यम्या वपूंषि तयोरन्यद्रोचते कृष्णमन्यत् । श्यावी च यदरुषी च स्वसारौ महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
nā́nā cakrāte yamyā́ vapū́ṃṣi táyor anyád rócate kṛ́ṣṇam anyát | śyā́vī ca yád áruṣī ca svásārau mahád devānām asura-tvám ékam ||
യമ്യ—സഹോദരികളായ രണ്ടു പേർ—വിവിധ രൂപങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തി പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു, മറ്റുത്തി കറുപ്പാണ്. ശ്യാവിയും അരുഷിയും—സഹോദരികൾ—പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു: ദേവന്മാരുടെ ഒരേയൊരു മഹത്തായ അസുരത്വം (ആധിപത്യം) തന്നെയുണ്ട്.
