ऋभुश्चक्र ईड्यं चारु नाम विश्वानि देवो वयुनानि विद्वान् । ससस्य चर्म घृतवत्पदं वेस्तदिदग्नी रक्षत्यप्रयुच्छन् ॥
ṛbhúś cakré ī́ḍyaṃ cā́ru nā́ma víśvāni devó vayúnāni vidvā́n | sásasya cárma ghṛtávat padáṃ vés tád íd agní rakṣaty áprayucchan ||
ഋഭു ആരാധ്യമായ മനോഹര നാമം നിർമ്മിച്ചു—എല്ലാ ദേവവയുനങ്ങൾ (വിധികൾ/പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ) അറിയുന്ന ദേവൻ. അവൻ വേനയ്ക്കായി വൃഷഭത്തിന്റെ ചർമ്മം, ഘൃതവത്—ഘൃതസമൃദ്ധവും തേജസ്സുമുള്ള—പദം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതിനെ തന്നേ അഗ്നി അപ്രയുച്ഛൻ—അവിരതമായി—കാക്കുന്നു.
