प्रत्यग्निरुषसश्चेकितानोऽबोधि विप्रः पदवीः कवीनाम् । पृथुपाजा देवयद्भिः समिद्धोऽप द्वारा तमसो वह्निरावः ॥
práty agnír uṣásaś cekitānáḥ ábodhi vípraḥ padavī́ḥ kavīnā́m | pṛthupā́jā devayád-bhiḥ samiddhó’pa dvā́rā támaso váhnir ā́vaḥ ||
ഉഷസ്സിനെ അഭിമുഖീകരിച്ച് ബോധം നേടിയ അഗ്നി ഉണർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു—വിപ്രൻ, കവികളുടെ പഥം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവൻ. ദേവത്തെ തേടുന്നവരാൽ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട, വിശാലബലമുള്ള ആ വഹ്നി അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
