Sukta 3.49
शंसा महामिन्द्रं यस्मिन्विश्वा आ कृष्टयः सोमपाः काममव्यन् । यं सुक्रतुं धिषणे विभ्वतष्टं घनं वृत्राणां जनयन्त देवाः ॥
śaṃsā́ mahā́m índraṃ yásmin víśvā ā́ kṛ́ṣṭayaḥ somapā́ḥ kā́mam ávyan | yáṃ sukrátuṃ dhiṣáṇe vibhvatáṣṭaṃ ghnáṃ vṛtrā́ṇāṃ janáyanta devā́ḥ ||
ഞാൻ മഹാനായ ഇന്ദ്രനെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു—സോമപാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സർവ്വ ജനങ്ങളും തങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം നെയ്തുചേർത്തിരിക്കുന്നവനെ. അവനെ, ദൃഢസങ്കൽപ്പനായ, ധിഷണാ (രണ്ടു പ്രേരണകൾ)യിൽ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയ, വൃത്രങ്ങൾ (തടസ്സങ്ങൾ) തകർക്കുന്നവനെ—ദേവന്മാർ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
