Sukta 3.30
त्वं हि ष्मा च्यावयन्नच्युतान्येको वृत्रा चरसि जिघ्नमानः । तव द्यावापृथिवी पर्वतासोऽनु व्रताय निमितेव तस्थुः ॥
tváṃ hí ṣmā cyāváyann ácyutāny éko vṛtrā́ cárasi jíghnamānaḥ | táva dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ párvatāso ’nú vratā́ya nímitā iva tasthuḥ ||
നീ തന്നെയാണ് അചലത്തെയും കുലുക്കി, ഒറ്റയ്ക്കായി വൃത്രബലങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ നീങ്ങുകയും അവയെ വധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത്. നിനക്കായി ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവിയും പർവതങ്ങളും, അളന്നൊരുക്കിയതുപോലെ, നിന്റെ വ്രതം (ഋത-നിയമം) അനുസരിച്ച് സ്ഥിരമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
