अग्ने अपां समिध्यसे दुरोणे नित्यः सूनो सहसो जातवेदः । सधस्थानि महयमान ऊती ॥
Transliteration
agne apā́m sám idhyase duroṇé nítyaḥ sū́no sahaso jā́tavedāḥ | sadhásthāni maháyamāna ūtī́ ||
Translation
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നീ അപാം—ജലങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ—ഗൃഹത്തിൽ പ്രജ്വലിക്കുന്നു; നിത്യൻ, ഹേ സഹസിന്റെ സുനു, ജാതവേദസ് (ജന്മങ്ങളുടെ ജ്ഞാതാവ്). നമ്മുടെ സധസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട്, നീ നിന്റെ ഊതി—രക്ഷയും പോഷകസഹായവും—കൊണ്ട് അവയെ വിശാലമാക്കുന്നു.
