Transliteration

nir-máthitaḥ su-dhíta ā́ sadha-sthé yúvā kavír adhvarásya pra-netā́ | jū́ryat-su agnír ajáro váneṣv átrā́ dadhé amṛ́taṃ jāta-vedāḥ ||

Translation

നിർമഥിതൻ (മഥനത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവൻ)യും സുസ്ഥിതനുമായിട്ട്, അവൻ യജ്ഞത്തിന്റെ സധസ്ഥ (ആസനം)ത്തിലേക്ക് വരുന്നു—യുവ കവി, അധ്വര (യജ്ഞയാത്ര)ത്തിന്റെ പ്രണേതാവ്. ഇവിടെ വനങ്ങളിൽ വളരുന്ന, അജരനായ അഗ്നി—ജാതവേദാ—അമൃതം (അമരത്വത്തിന്റെ രസം) സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
