Sukta 3.1
शुक्रेभिरङ्गै रज आततन्वान्क्रतुं पुनानः कविभिः पवित्रैः । शोचिर्वसानः पर्यायुरपां श्रियो मिमीते बृहतीरनूनाः ॥
śukrébhir áṅgair rája ātatanvā́n krátum punānáḥ kavíbhíḥ pavítraiḥ | śócír vasānáḥ páry ā́yur apā́ṃ śriyó mimīte bṛhatī́r anū́nāḥ ||
ശുക്ല അംഗങ്ങളാൽ അവൻ രജസ് (വ്യാപ്തികൾ) മുഴുവൻ വിരിച്ചു വ്യാപിക്കുന്നു; കവികളെ പവിത്രങ്ങൾ (ശോധകങ്ങൾ) ആക്കി ക്രതു (സങ്കൽപശക്തി)യെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നു. ശോചി (ജ്വാല) ധരിച്ചു അവൻ അപാം (ജലങ്ങളുടെ) ആയുസ്സിനെ ചുറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ശ്രിയഃ (ശോഭാ-സമ്പത്ത്) അളക്കുന്നു—വിപുലമായ, അക്ഷയമായ പൂർണതകൾ.
