Sukta 3.1
अपां गर्भं दर्शतमोषधीनां वना जजान सुभगा विरूपम् । देवासश्चिन्मनसा सं हि जग्मुः पनिष्ठं जातं तवसं दुवस्यन् ॥
apā́ṃ gárbhaṃ darśatám óṣadhīnām vánā jajāna subhágā vírūpam | devā́saś cit mánasā sáṃ hí jagmúḥ pániṣṭhaṃ jātáṃ távasaṃ duvasyán ||
അപാം ഗർഭം—ദർശനീയൻ; ഔഷധികളുടെ വളർച്ച—വനങ്ങൾ (ദിവ്യവനങ്ങൾ/ആകാശീയ വനങ്ങൾ) സുഭഗൻ, വിരൂപൻ (ബഹുരൂപൻ) ആയവനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. ദേവന്മാരും മനസ്സോടെ ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേർന്ന്, അത്ഭുതജന്മനായ, തവസ് (ബലവാൻ) ആയ പരമ-പനിഷ്ഠനെ ദുവസ്യൻ (സേവ/സ്തുതി) ചെയ്യാൻ എത്തി.
