Sukta 3.1
पितुश्च गर्भं जनितुश्च बभ्रे पूर्वीरेको अधयत्पीप्यानाः । वृष्णे सपत्नी शुचये सबन्धू उभे अस्मै मनुष्ये नि पाहि ॥
pitúś ca gárbhaṃ janitúś ca babhre pūrvī́r éko adhayat pī́pyānāḥ | vṛ́ṣṇe sapatnī́ śúcaye sábandhū ubhé asmai manuṣyé ní pāhi ||
പിതാവിന്റെയും ജനകന്റെയും ഗർഭം അവൻ ധരിച്ചു; ഏകാകിയായി അവൻ അനേകം ശക്തികളെ പാനം ചെയ്യിച്ചു, അവയെ പൂർണ്ണമാക്കി. വൃഷഭനുവേണ്ടി, ശുചിയുവേണ്ടി—വൈരികളായിട്ടും ബന്ധുക്കളായ രണ്ടു സഹോദരിമാർ, ഈ മനുഷ്യനു യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ, ഇരുവരും അവനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുക.
