Sukta 2.9
त्वं दूतस्त्वमु नः परस्पास्त्वं वस्य आ वृषभ प्रणेता । अग्ने तोकस्य नस्तने तनूनामप्रयुच्छन्दीद्यद्बोधि गोपाः ॥
tváṃ dūtás tvám u naḥ paraḥ-pā́s tváṃ vásya ā́ vṛṣabha pra-netā́ | ágne tokásya nas táne tanū́nām ápra-yucchan dī́dyad bodhi gopā́ḥ ||
നീ ദൂതൻ; നീ തന്നെയാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പരസ്പാ—ദൂരത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള രക്ഷകൻ; നീ തന്നെയാണ്, ബലത്തിന്റെ വൃഷഭാ, ശ്രേഷ്ഠത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്ന പ്രണേതാവ്. അഗ്നേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ തോക (സന്തതി)ക്കും നമ്മുടെ തനൂകളുടെ (അസ്തിത്വത്തിന്റെ) വിപുലീകരണത്തിനുമായി, അപ്രയുച്ഛൻ—അവിരതമായി—പ്രകാശത്തോടെ ജ്വലിച്ച്, ഗോപനായി ഞങ്ങളിലുണരുക.
