Sukta 2.20
सो अङ्गिरसामुचथा जुजुष्वान्ब्रह्मा तूतोदिन्द्रो गातुमिष्णन् । मुष्णन्नुषसः सूर्येण स्तवानश्नस्य चिच्छिश्नथत्पूर्व्याणि ॥
só aṅgírasām ucáthā jujuṣvā́n brahmā́ tū́tod índro gātúm iṣṇán | múṣṇann uṣásaḥ sū́ryeṇa stavā́n áśnasya cic chiśnathat pū́rvyāṇi ||
അംഗിരസുകളുടെ ഉചഥ (സ്തുതി-ഗീതങ്ങൾ) സ്വീകരിച്ച്, ബ്രഹ്മാ (മന്ത്ര-രചയിതാവ്) ആയ ഇന്ദ്രൻ ഗാതു (പാത) തുറന്നു, ഗതിയെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചു. സൂര്യനാൽ ഉഷസ്സുകളെ ‘കവർന്നു’ നീക്കി, സ്തവനം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട്, അവൻ ശില/പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ പുരാതന ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെയും തകർത്തു.
