Sukta 2.19
स सुन्वत इन्द्रः सूर्यमा देवो रिणङ्मर्त्याय स्तवान् । आ यद्रयिं गुहदवद्यमस्मै भरदंशं नैतशो दशस्यन् ॥
sá sunvatá índraḥ sū́ryam ā́ devó riṇáṅ mártyāya stavā́n | ā́ yád rayíṃ gúhad avadyám asmai bhárad áṃśaṃ ná ét aśo daśasyán ||
സോമം പിഴിയുന്നവന്റെ വേണ്ടി ഇന്ദ്രദേവൻ സൂര്യനെ സമീപത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു—സ്തുതി ചെയ്യുന്ന മർത്ത്യനുവേണ്ടി. അവൻ അവനിലേക്ക് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന, ദോഷരഹിതമായ സമൃദ്ധി (രയി) കൊണ്ടുവരുമ്പോൾ, സേവനത്തിൽ ഏതശനെപ്പോലെ, യുക്തമായ അംശമായി ആ പങ്ക് അവൻ വഹിക്കുന്നു.
