Sukta 2.16
न क्षोणीभ्यां परिभ्वे त इन्द्रियं न समुद्रैः पर्वतैरिन्द्र ते रथः । न ते वज्रमन्वश्नोति कश्चन यदाशुभिः पतसि योजना पुरु ॥
ná kṣoṇī́bhyāṃ paribhvé ta indríyaṃ ná samudráiḥ párvatair indra te ráthaḥ | ná te vájram ánv aśnoti káś caná yad āśúbhiḥ pátasi yójanā purú ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഭൂമിയും ദ്യൗവും—ഇരു ലോകങ്ങളും—നിന്റെ ഇന്ദ്രിയം (പരാക്രമം) ചുറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കാനാവില്ല; സമുദ്രങ്ങളും പർവതങ്ങളും, ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, നിന്റെ രഥത്തെ തടയാനാവില്ല. നീ നിന്റെ ആശു (വേഗികൾ) കൂടെ അനേകം യോജനകൾ കടന്ന് പറക്കുമ്പോൾ, ആരും നിന്റെ വജ്രത്തെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് എത്തിച്ചേരുകയില്ല.
