Sukta 2.12
यस्याश्वासः प्रदिशि यस्य गावो यस्य ग्रामा यस्य विश्वे रथासः । यः सूर्यं य उषसं जजान यो अपां नेता स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yásyāśvā́saḥ pradíśi yásya gā́vo yásya grā́mā yásya víśve rाथā́saḥ | yáḥ sū́ryaṃ yá uṣásaṃ jajā́na yó apā́ṃ netā́ sá janāsa índraḥ ||
എല്ലാ ദിക്കുകളിലും അശ്വങ്ങൾ അവന്റേതായവൻ; ഗാവഃ (കിരണങ്ങൾ) അവന്റേതായവൻ; ഗ്രാമാഃ (ശക്തിസമൂഹങ്ങൾ) അവന്റേതായവൻ; എല്ലാ രഥങ്ങളും അവന്റേതായവൻ; സൂര്യനെയും ഉഷസ്സിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചവൻ; അപാം നേതാ—ജലങ്ങളുടെ നേതാവ്—ആയവൻ—ഹേ ജനങ്ങളേ, അവൻ ഇന്ദ്രനാണ്.
