Sukta 2.12
येनेमा विश्वा च्यवना कृतानि यो दासं वर्णमधरं गुहाकः । श्वघ्नीव यो जिगीवाँल्लक्षमाददर्यः पुष्टानि स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yéne mā́ víśvā cyávanā kṛtā́ni yó dā́saṃ várṇam ádharaṃ guhā́ ákāḥ | śvaghnī́va yó jigīvā́ṃl lakṣám ā́dad aryáḥ púṣṭāni sá janāsa índraḥ ||
ആരാൽ ഈ എല്ലാ ച്യവനങ്ങൾ (ഇളക്കിമാറ്റലുകൾ) നടന്നു തീർന്നുവോ; ഗുഹയിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന ദാസ-വർണ്ണത്തെ അധര (താഴ്ന്ന) നിലയിലാക്കിയവൻ; ശ്വഘ്നിയെപ്പോലെ—വിജയിയായി—ലക്ഷ്യം/ചിഹ്നം (പുരസ്കാരം) പിടിച്ചെടുത്തവൻ, ആര്യന് പുഷ്ടികൾ (പോഷണങ്ങൾ) ജയിപ്പിച്ചവൻ—ഹേ ജനങ്ങളേ, അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ഇന്ദ്രൻ.
