Sukta 2.12
यः सुन्वन्तमवति यः पचन्तं यः शंसन्तं यः शशमानमूती । यस्य ब्रह्म वर्धनं यस्य सोमो यस्येदं राधः स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yaḥ sunvantam avati yaḥ pacantaṃ yaḥ śaṃsantaṃ yaḥ śaśamānam ūtī | yasya brahma vardhanaṃ yasya somo yasyedaṃ rādhaḥ sa janāsa indraḥ ||
സോമസവനം ചെയ്യുന്നവനെ കാക്കുന്നവൻ, പചിക്കുന്നവനെ കാക്കുന്നവൻ, ശംസിക്കുന്ന (സ്തുതിക്കുന്ന)വനെ കാക്കുന്നവൻ, തന്റെ ഊതിയാൽ ആത്മസംയമത്തിനായി പരിശ്രമിക്കുന്നവനെയും കാക്കുന്നവൻ; ആരുടേതാണ് ബ്രഹ്മ (പ്രേരിത വാക്ക്) വർധനം, ആരുടേതാണ് സോമം, ആരുടേതാണ് ഈ രാധഃ (സമൃദ്ധി)—ഹേ ജനങ്ങളേ, അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ഇന്ദ്രൻ.
