Sukta 2.11
हरी नु त इन्द्र वाजयन्ता घृतश्चुतं स्वारमस्वार्ष्टाम् । वि समना भूमिरप्रथिष्टारंस्त पर्वतश्चित्सरिष्यन् ॥
hárī nu te indra vājáyantā ghṛta-ścútaṃ svā́ram asvārṣṭām | ví samanā́ bhū́mir aprathiṣṭā́raṃsta párvataś cit sariṣyán ||
Praise of Indra’s harī and dynamic release; Soma context emphasizing expansion and movement of powers
expansion of the foundation (bhūmi aprathiṣṭa), mobilization of fixed structures (parvata sariṣyan), clarified essence (ghṛta) as luminous consciousness
Expansion of earth and movement of mountain indicate restoration of right circulation and the Vast.
Svāra as light-cry: truth becomes audible/active as vibration in the being.
World set in motion: emergence from inertia to dynamic order.
Yoga of transformation: widening (uru/bṛhat) as criterion of true progress.
Balanced energies release a nourishing luminous vibration; the body-consciousness widens; rigid patterns begin to flow.
Feel twin currents of energy (harī) aligning; release a ‘svāra’—a subtle inner sound of clarity—letting the body-consciousness widen.
Maṇipūra (dynamic force) opening into Anāhata (widening) and Viśuddha (svāra/inner sound).
Ujjāyī lightly for 21 breaths; on exhale silently intone ‘svāram’; imagine ghṛta-like golden flow descending through the torso, softening rigidity.
Expansive dynamism—movement within stillness; embodied openness.
If you feel stuck, chant while standing. After each recitation, pause and sense one ‘mountain’ area (jaw, belly, chest) soften and ‘flow’.
Keep energetic rise on harī and vājayantā; let ghṛtaścutaṃ and svāram carry a smooth svarita fall like a flowing stream.
Slight emphasis on ‘svāram’ (asvārṣṭām) as the release point; broaden tone on ‘vi samanā bhūmir’.
vājayantā: long ā; ‘jya’ clean, ghṛtaścutaṃ: ‘ghṛ’ with vocalic ṛ; do not say ‘ghrita’, asvārṣṭām: cluster ‘rṣṭ’ crisp; long ā, aprathiṣṭa: keep ‘prath’ aspirated th, sariṣyan: retroflex ṣ; light ‘yan’
Bright and mobile; slightly quicker on the first pāda, expansive on the second.
