Sukta 10.98
आर्ष्टिषेणो होत्रमृषिर्निषीदन्देवापिर्देवसुमतिं चिकित्वान् । स उत्तरस्मादधरं समुद्रमपो दिव्या असृजद्वर्ष्या अभि ॥
ārṣṭiṣeṇó hótram ṛ́ṣir níṣīdán devā́pir deva-sumatíṃ cikitvā́n | sá úttarasmād ádharam samudrám apó divyā́ asṛjad varṣyā́ abhí ||
ആർഷ്ടിഷേണ ഋഷി ഹോതൃ-ആസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു—ദേവാപി, ദേവസുമതിയെ അറിയുന്നവൻ, ദേവമുഖിയായ സന്മതിയെ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നവൻ. മുകളിലെ സമുദ്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് താഴെയുള്ള സമുദ്രത്തിലേക്ക് അവൻ ദിവ്യജലങ്ങളെ—വർഷാജലങ്ങളെ—മുക്തമാക്കി; പ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, ഉയരം-താഴം തമ്മിൽ തടഞ്ഞ വഴികൾ തുറന്നു.
