किमेता वाचा कृणवा तवाहं प्राक्रमिषमुषसामग्रियेव । पुरूरवः पुनरस्तं परेहि दुरापना वात इवाहमस्मि ॥
kím etā́ vācā́ kṛṇavā távā́haṃ prā́kramiṣam uṣásām agriyéva | purū́ravaḥ púnar ástaṃ párehí durā́panā vā́ta ivā́ham asmi ||
നിന്റെ ഈ വാച് കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യണം? ഞാൻ ഉഷസ്സുകളുടെ അഗ്രിയപോലെ മുന്നോട്ട് പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ പുരൂരവസ്, വീണ്ടും നിന്റെ അസ്ത (വീട്) ലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോ; ഞാൻ പിടികൂടാൻ ദുഷ്പ്രാപ്യ—കാറ്റുപോലെ.
