बृहद्वदन्ति मदिरेण मन्दिनेन्द्रं क्रोशन्तोऽविदन्नना मधु । संरभ्या धीराः स्वसृभिरनर्तिषुराघोषयन्तः पृथिवीमुपब्दिभिः ॥
bṛhád vadanti madiréṇa mandínéndraṃ króśanto ’vidann anā́ mádhu | saṃrabhya dhīrā́ḥ svasṛ́bhir anartiṣur āghóṣayantaḥ pṛthivī́m upabdíbhiḥ ||
അവർ മഹത്തായ വാക്കുകൾ ഉച്ചരിക്കുന്നു; മദിരാ-മന്ദി (മത്ത) രസത്തിൽ ഉന്മേഷിതരായി ഇന്ദ്രനോട് വിളിക്കുന്നു, നേരിട്ടുതന്നെ മധുവിനെ പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരുമിച്ച് പിടിച്ചുകൂടി, ധീരർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരിമാരോടൊപ്പം നൃത്തം ചെയ്തു; അവരുടെ പ്രതിധ്വനികളാൽ ഭൂമിയെ മുഴങ്ങിച്ചു.
