Sukta 10.94
एते वदन्त्यविदन्नना मधु न्यूङ्खयन्ते अधि पक्व आमिषि । वृक्षस्य शाखामरुणस्य बप्सतस्ते सूभर्वा वृषभाः प्रेमराविषुः ॥
etḗ vadanty ávidann anā́ mádhu ní ūṅkhayante ádhi pakvé ā́miṣi | vṛkṣásya śā́khām aruṇásya bápsatas té sū́bharvā vṛṣabhā́ḥ préma rāvīṣuḥ ||
ഇവർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; വാഹനമില്ലാതെയേ അവർ മധുവിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പക്വമായ ദ്രവ്യത്തിന്മേൽ മേലിൽ നിന്ന് ആടിച്ചുലക്കി അമർത്തുന്നു. ചുവന്ന നിറമുള്ള വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ശാഖപോലെ അവർ അടിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരവഹികളായ ആ വൃഷഭങ്ങൾ മുന്നിൽ നിന്ന് ഗർജിച്ച് പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
