Sukta 10.89
त्वं ह त्यदृणया इन्द्र धीरोऽसिर्न पर्व वृजिना शृणासि । प्र ये मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धाम युजं न जना मिनन्ति मित्रम् ॥
tváṃ ha tyád ṛṇa-yā́ indra dhī́ro ’sír ná párva vṛjinā́ śṛṇāsi | prá ye mitrásya váruṇasya dhā́ma yújaṃ ná jánā minánti mitrám ||
നീ തന്നേ, ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഋണയാ (ഋതത്തിന്റെ മാർഗത്തിൽ) ധീരനാകുന്നു; അവയവത്തിലെ സന്ധിപോലെ നീ വൃജിന (വക്രത/കുടിലത)യെ തകർക്കുന്നു. മിത്ര-വരുൺമാരുടെ ധാമം (ആസനം/നിവാസം) ലംഘിക്കുന്നവർ, നുകസഹചാരിയെ വേർപെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ—മിത്രം (സൗഹൃദ-സമന്വയം) തന്നെ ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.
