प्र तेऽरदद्वरुणो यातवे पथः सिन्धो यद्वाजाँ अभ्यद्रवस्त्वम् । भूम्या अधि प्रवता यासि सानुना यदेषामग्रं जगतामिरज्यसि ॥
prá te ’radad váruṇo yā́tave páthaḥ síndho yád vājā́ṃ abhy-ádravas tvám | bhū́myā ádhi prá-vatā yā́si sā́nunā yád eṣā́m ágraṃ jágatām irajyási ||
ഹേ സിന്ധു! നീ ശക്തിയുടെ സമൃദ്ധികളിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞുചെന്നപ്പോൾ, വരുണൻ നിനക്കു പോകുവാനുള്ള പാതകൾ തുറന്നു കൊടുത്തു. ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു നീ ചരിവുകളിലൂടെയും കുന്നിൻ മുകളിലൂടെയും ഒഴുകുന്നു; ഈ ചലിക്കുന്ന ലോകങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രത്തിൽ നീ നീങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, അവയുടെ മുന്നേറ്റത്തെ നീ തന്നെ നയിക്കുന്നു.
